Portuguese, taught properly

A team of language specialists who believe fluency comes from structured practice, not passive exposure. We work with learners who want results they can actually measure.

How this platform came to exist

Playpromocode started as a small group of language tutors frustrated by how Portuguese was being taught online - mostly through audio drills with no real grammar scaffolding.

The early approach was simple: build lessons around real conversations, not textbook dialogues. Each module was tested with actual learners before it was published.

Over time, the curriculum grew to cover both European and Brazilian variants, with dedicated tracks for pronunciation, written expression, and professional contexts.

The people behind the lessons

Small team, clear roles. Everyone here has taught Portuguese to non-native speakers for at least five years before joining.

What the learning path looks like

Each stage builds on the previous one. There are no shortcuts, but the sequence is designed so progress stays visible throughout.

Placement

A short diagnostic identifies where your Portuguese actually stands, not where you think it does. This determines your entry point.

Core modules

Grammar, vocabulary, and listening comprehension are taught in parallel rather than in strict sequence, reflecting how language actually works.

Conversation practice

Live sessions with instructors twice per week. These are small groups of four learners maximum, so everyone speaks every session.

Progress review

Every six weeks, a structured review session maps what has been retained and what needs more time. The next phase adjusts accordingly.
